The following Strategy makes the conservation of biological diversity and the sustainable use of its components a priority for its economic and social development. This will require greater cooperation and coordination of techniques, as well as incentives, deterrents, laws and regulations to ensure that the protection and reasonable use of biological resources are successfully integrated into the broad social, cultural and economic context.
