The Kiss 1 and Kiss 2 Projects located in Kissidougou in Guinea are part of the Regional Program for the Management of Watersheds in Upper Niger and Upper Gambia, which has set the general long-term objective of regulating the regime of the major rivers in West Africa. For this first phase implemented in Guinea, this Program for the management of natural resources by the populations living in these Basins, has the operational objectives, on the one hand, to encourage the villagers to improve the management of their land, on the other hand, to search for reproducible methods applicable to other watersheds and village areas. (At the same time, actions to improve the living conditions of the populations are carried out).
