As part of the implementation of the Sangareya Dubréka Bay Mangrove Management Plan, the forest area was subdivided into management units that were the subject of an inventory. Quotas have been set for the rational exploitation of wood in these units. In order to respect these quotas and apply adequate silvicultural rules, the Project provided for forest control, which, in its first phase, started on September 22 and ended on December 30, 1995.
