Agroforestry, community woodlots, individual plantations of forest species and the construction of firewalls characterize this activity.

It should be noted that every dry season, bushfires are started in most villages located in our area of intervention. To mitigate or end this disastrous loss of forests, which would lead to the massive movement of populations to the mangrove in search of firewood and construction, our project, in the light of the advice and recommendations given by the Reforestation Project, which is the project manager in this area, succeeded in involving a large number of individuals on a voluntary basis in the implementation of the 1994 - 1995 reforestation programme.
