National Marine and Coastal Environment Report
The Convention on Cooperation in the Protection and Development of the Marine Environment and Coastal Zones of the Western and Central African Region, adopted on 23 March 1981 in Abidjan (Abidjan Convention), follows a regional call for the protection of marine and coastal environmental resources in a sustainable manner.
The Republic of Guinea, resolutely committed to the implementation of the general principles of this Convention, of which it has been a Contracting Party since 23 March 1981, has begun the preparation of its National Report on the marine and coastal environment through a national consultation of all the actors concerned, in accordance with the format established by the Secretariat of the Abidjan Convention.
