After the adoption of its National Environmental Action Plan, Guinea has set itself the ambition to join the pack of African countries that agree to look at their development policies through the filter of new constraints, convinced that only such an approach will make it possible to reap the benefits of sustainable development for the future and future generations for the future. Among other priorities, the protection of natural resources and conservation represent areas of interest for GUINEA's PNAE. In addition to the provisions of this policy, Guinea is working to implement the commitments made through international fora and various international Rio Conventions.

Thus, in the dual perspective of implementing the Environmental Action Plan and its international obligations, Guinea has undertaken the development of this National Monograph on Biological Diversity.
