The present report of Guinea was prepared in accordance with the guidelines for the fifth national report of the Convention on Biological Diversity. It is composed of three main parts which are:

· Part I — An update on the status and trends of biological diversity, the dangers that threaten it, and their consequences for human well-being.

· Part II - National biodiversity strategies and action plans, their implementation and the integration of biological diversity.

· Part III — The progress made towards achieving the 2015 and 2020 Aichi Biodiversity Targets and the contributions made to the achievement of the 2015 Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) targets.
