Despite sustained efforts to promote more effective environmental management over the past several decades, natural resources continue to deteriorate in many parts of Guinea. Faced with this observation, and following the global vision that must now guide the management of the environmental sector in Guinea, the MEEF, with the support of its partners and in particular UNDP, wishes to develop a global framework based on the most relevant environmental analyses, programs, plans and actions developed and implemented in recent years. This reference framework, based on the NEP developed in 2011, must be visionary, modern, unifying and operational in such a way that the MEEF can mobilize and allocate its human, material and financial resources in accordance with national strategic priorities agreed upon with all stakeholders for the next five years. This framework will take the form of a 2013-2017 National Environmental Investment Plan (PNIE).
