On 27, 28, 29 and 30 March 2000, a workshop seminar on the dissemination of forest legislation was held in Conakry (Hotel Camayenne).

The Workshop Seminar was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, through the National Directorate of Water and Forests, with the support of the Forest Counsellor Project (PCF/GTZ) at the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.

The workshop was part of the deepening of the reflections initiated in Kindia and Mamou on the Forest and Wildlife Codes as well as their implementing texts.

The objective of the Workshop Seminar was the dissemination of forest legislation at the level of the Central Forest Administration and the development of a related program of activities.
